RE: 2007 sportscoach

We have an 03 Cross Country 376DS that we are very happy with. We had a few things at first but Coachmen took care of everything without any problems. In fact we where about 4 months out of our warranty and Coachmen approached us about our roof. The supplier that Coachmen used for their glue for the roof was causing the roof to have some light brown spots to appear. Coachmen replace the entire roof without it costing us anything. Currently we have over 50,000 miles on our CC 376DS without any problems. Everything is working just fine.

RE: Oil Filter Money Saver

I've been using Fram filters on my 1967 Cutlass since my Mother purchased the car new in August of 1967. Current mileage on the Cutlass is 172,000 miles. In fact I only use Fram filters on all of my vehicles and NEVER had a problem with any Fram filter. Except one time I did use a Wix filter. When I removed the Wix filter on the next oil change I noticed that the filter rattled when I shook it. The filter media had broken from it's mount in the filter. That was the last time I ever used a Wix filter. Here is my 67 Cutlass: http://www.brubakken.org/images/67cutlass/2002-02-13/DCP_0030.JPG http://www.brubakken.org/images/67cutlass/2002-02-13/DCP_0031.JPG

RE: good sam ea+

has anyone had any experience with the good sam ea+?? they claim they'll drive your rv home, fly you home, etc. if you get hurt. any feedback?? seems good but does it work?? I've always worried about if I get hurt and can't drive. Read the fine print. I signed up for this and when the paperwork came in it was VERY restrictive as to who could travel back, how much they would pay for the travel. To many restrictions here. I canceled mine, but after you read the fine print on your contract - you decide. FMCA has something very similar (Medex?) that is included in their yearly dues. Just something to consider...

RE: This Flying J ..Nasty..Nasty

I stopped w/MH on I65 Exit 2 in Franklin,KY. I have stopped here at least twice a year for the last 8 years to fill, this time I spent $214 on fuel. I will not be back. The air hoses are nasty, the water to wash windshield is smelly nasty, the pump numbers were unreadable as the glass over them are frosted. No paper towels, filthy from fuel spills. I will try the Pilot up the road from now on. The manager must just sit in his office and count money, I got the feeling that they did not want me there and they will not see me again. I'M GOING TO PILOT. I have sworn off FJ, this time forever. AeroP Good Grief! :S It's just a truck stop. Fill up an move on...

RE: installing sat radio antenna

I installed the original XM antenna in the area behind the cabinet in the front cap of our mh. Didn't work too well when driving north, lots of drop outs. I solved the problem by installing a XM marine antenna in the same location. Reception is much better. This is what I installed: http://audio-etcetera.com/product_thumb.php?img=images/X/XM-5.jpg&w=200&h=166 XM Marine Antenna

RE: Bluewater Key FL

You could always try Curry Hammock SP or Bahia Honda SP and save $100 a night Reservations are almost impossible to get for either park and you won't get a site like this. Who cares about saving $100... RE: How to filter water coming from hose

Here is the whole house filter I purchased at Lowe's about five years ago. You can get all the hose fittings for the connections there too. http://www.brubakken.org/rvnet/waterfilter1.jpg http://www.brubakken.org/rvnet/waterfilter2.jpg

RE: Flying J changes credit price on Diesel Fuel at truck pumps

RE: Walmart Parking

Right Here. Finally someone posts a picture - of a trailer with a generator. But I still did not see: Awnings outBBQ fired up a smokingCarpet downChairs outSatellite dish setupClothes Lines outDogs tied to the bumperSewer Hose on the groundTrash everywhere All I see is a generator next to a trailer with covers over their tires. So the generator is the same as all the above? Yea right:R NO ONE has yet to post ANY picture of what the Walmart Police are always complaining about. You would think in FIVE YEARS someone that has seen all of the above happening and happening as often as they claim, would be able to post a picture. Yup - just an urban legend. Come on Walmart Police prove me wrong, post some pictures of the 'infamous WalMart Camper'. A generator just doesn't cut it...

RE: Walmart Parking

We've seen this. You can tell who they are because they've got totally leveled with, lawn chairs, towels hanging all over the mirrors boxes under the coach etc... Ah the Walmart Camping Police are at it again... I've been on the forum for over five years and seen this stated time and time again. Personally I've never seen this happen and I have decided this is nothing but an urban legend. And for years I've been asking for someone to take a picture of these 'offending' folks and post it here. As usual NO ONE has yet to provide a picture to back up these claims of nasty campers. Yup just another urban legend. You might want to check out this Yahoo Group: Yahoo Group - Walmart RVParking

RE: Coachman and others? FIRE HAZARD CHECK YOUR RV!

On my Coachmen motor home the water heater insulated by styrofoam insulating, covering the water heater completely. Think about that for a minute - styrofoam - you would think that if anything was to catch fire that would. Good Grief - talk about crying wolf!!! :S

RE: I-75 South - Atlanta to Gainesville - Possible Stopover?

If you're just looking for overnight, Eagles Roost RV Park in Lake Park GA is excellent. Just a couple of miles north of the GA_FL border. Nice, clean, shady park and a couple of hours from Gainesville. Just on the opposite site of I75 from Eagles Roost you will find a KOA. I never thought I would recommend a KOA, but this place is just as nice and cheaper than Eagles Roost. And the KOA WiFi works throughout their park. At Eagles Roost WiFi is iffy at times.

RE: I-75 South - Atlanta to Gainesville - Possible Stopover?

Here is another option. This is our usually stop over when we travel to Florida via I75. At exit 127 you will find Twin Oaks RV Park. It's a very nice park, high rating from Trailer Life, all sites have concrete pads and free WIFI throughout the park. They offer the usual discounts, FMCA, Good Sams, Passport America etc. They are located right off of I75. Traffic noise is not a problem. http://www.twinoaksrvpark.com/rigs1.jpg http://www.twinoaksrvpark.com/sites%20pads.jpg http://www.twinoaksrvpark.com/twinoaks7.jpg

RE: Yellowstone Fishing Bridge RV Park

We where there the last week of May this year. Like others have stated - you will fit without any problems. We had a premium/larger site. The only difference from a regular site is that the wooden posts at the rear of the site have been removed, allowing you to back further in. If you look closely at the white RV in the photo below you will see that they are parked over one of those posts that have been cut down. Our motor home is right at 40 feet in length and we did not have any problem backing into our site, the trees mentioned in the post above were not a problem. At least for this site anyway. Here is a photo of our site to give you some idea of the size of sites. http://inlinethumb61.webshots.com/42172/2574240080083169129S600x600Q85.jpg Fishing Bridge - Slideshow will give you a better idea of the sites in general. BTW - When we got there on May 26, Yellowstone Lake was still frozen over. When we left, nine days later, the ice on the lake had all but disappeared.

RE: Database software

... PowerBuilder would be one of those applications. ... Wow, talk about a blast from the past. I worked on the PowerBuilder product releases 4.x and 5.x for PowerSoft/Sybase back in 1996. I didn't realize Sybase was still selling the product or that anyone was still using it! Yea Sybase has never advertised PowerBuilder, don't understand why because it still a good product for what it was designed for. PowerBuilder/Sybase BIG mistake was never to jump on the internet band wagon. And for that it got left behind years agao. Believe it or not there is still a fairly large user base out there. Did you know Disney uses it? It's a dying product, but the app I'm working on when into production in 1994 - talk about beating a dead horse. But there is so much money invested this app now they say they can't afford to move away from it. But the powers that be have realized then end is nearing and are FINALLY exploring different options. The company I work for is no small company either - this app is a production product that is making millions of dollars a year for the small group within this company. BTW PowerBuilder 12.5 'promises' to be 100% compatible with .NET PowerBuilder seems like it wants to turn itself into just another .NET development tool.

RE: Database software

What would be good for a small business on a single computer. To get Access you need the whole MS Business suite, and I'm sure Oracle is a pretty big suite too. Also, on Oracle you can download it for free, but I'm not sure how functional it is being free. I'm not sure what type of custom application you are trying to write. IF you do not need a DB/front end that offers internet connectivity. You might want to consider some of the old 'client/server' technology. PowerBuilder would be one of those applications. It come with it's own DB (SQLAnywhere). SQLAnywhere is a full featured SQL database. Although PowerBuilder has the capability of 'client/server' it does equally well developing single computer applications. PowerBuilder has been around since the early 90's. Currently Sybase owns PowerBuilder and the current version is 12.0. This is a very mature product. You can get early versions of PowerBuilder on EBay for about $20/$30 for the complete software development package including SQLAnywhere. PowerBuilder comes complete with it's own database frontend tool. Typically the complete software development package cost up to $3,200 for the current release. PowerBuilder is a VERY powerful product that has kept me employed for the last 16 years. BTW - just my .02 cents worth, but PB blows Access out of the water. There is just no comparison of the two.

RE: Love's TS fuel surcharge

All of the major truck stop signs I have seen have a cash and credit price except for flying J. The price FlyingJ posts is their cash price. As for the 'surcharge' for using a credit card/debit card at the truck island of all major truck stops, it's been going on like that for years. Expect to pay 4 cents to 9 cents more per gallon when you use anything except cash, check or the truck stops 'own' brand of credit card. BTW - as of Sept 1 when using FlyingJ truck islands, the only way to get the cash price when using a credit card is using FlyingJ's credit card or their TAB credit card. The plan customer loyalty card 'RV Value Card' doesn't cut it any more at the truck islands. The RV Value card will still work at the RV pumps on the auto side with whatever credit/debit card you would like to use.

RE: How To Replace an RV TV

Here is how I did mine. Slideshow From the front on view it look like the TV will not allow the side cabinet doors to open. But there actually is about one inch of clearance when the doors are open.

RE: Wireless Printer

Walmart has seven Wireless priters. One printer for $39.87, one for $89.88 three for 129.88, one for $149.88 and one for $448. All of these printers can be shipped to your home for .97 cents! That right .97 cents. I've ordered three printers from Walmart and the shipping charge was .97 cents for each printer.
